Infinity Ward: No Zombies for CoD Modern Warfare, co-op connected to the campaign

After the announcement of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward begins to more detail the features of the game and today talks about the inevitable Co-op mode, which this time will not be based on zombies. It confirms Jacob Minkoff, director of the gameplay of the title, explaining how this quasi-reboot of the series is devoted to maximum realism and a strong narrative homogeneity between the different modes of play.

With these premises, it is not difficult to understand that the characteristics very little... of "zombie" mode have led to the exclusion of this mode.

Moreover, the news is not surprising that much: the zombie mode (lucky intuition of Treyarch Studio and "trademark" of the Black Ops sub-series ) had already been treated by Infinity Ward in their Previous Infinite warfare, but the notorious zombies have never made their appearance in a game labeled "Modern Warfare."

Fans of cooperative modes must not despair: as confirmed by Minkoff himself, the game will offer the possibility to play along with other companions of Adventure in a co-op mode closely connected to the campaign, then in total Continuity with the single-player part of the game with which it will share setting, progress and mechanisms. This is a very interesting idea that we can not wait to see in action.

We remind you that the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is waiting for the next 25 October, sending you back to next week, during E3, to learn and see more of the game!
