With the latest update to the Xbox version One of ARK: Survival Evolved , developers have introduced a new game mode with so-called " Server of extinction ", totally separate from the main game and reset at the end of each month, allowing players to start the world from scratch, all under the same conditions.

At the end of each month, in fact, on these servers a meteor strikes the surface of the game world and causes loss of players around what they got up to that point, making everyone come back to the starting conditions.

The purpose of this new mode, according to the developers, is to ensure that players can start on equal terms every month and see who can make more progress before the arrival of the Meteor.

The recent update also introduces three new creatures: Woolly Rhino, Eurypterid and Dunkleosteus. You can see them in the following trailer.
