Whitten: the next Xbox update One settle Xbox Live experience

Marc Whitten of Microsoft announced some new features for the next Xbox update, One that will change, among other things, various aspects of the interface of the console and the Xbox Live service. During a recent interview, Whitten said that all the community's feedback obtained to date were crucial to understanding where we must take action to improve the services that the console offers.

Whitten has explained that some of the social elements of Xbox Live (friends, party management, notifications, etc.) are not very obvious, or are even harder to use than what is happening on the Xbox 360, and will be modified with an update to settle these problems.

Having been involved in the last 10 years in the construction of Xbox Live, the Manager took into serious consideration the users comments mainly regarding the management of party and in General for all default settings for the Xbox One. What you try to do is create an update that improves everything that users have reported.

Whitten has explained that updates on Xbox One will arrive more frequently than seen on the Xbox 360, so that we can introduce more easily fixes and new features. However, there will be the traditional large updates that change the look and feel of the dashboard and will add important news, typically issued towards the end of the year.

Based on the words of Whitten it seems that the team cares about the needs of the community, then new information should not arrive too late.  It is expected that next March's Game Developers Conference brings news, although we hope that the console update to arrive even earlier.
