That Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition was a huge success we know from all the sales records as beat. That the XBLA version could, however, even overtake PC sales that is in any way a surprise. Of course we are referring only to the year 2012, during which the XBLA version has sold a total of 5,002,370 units against the "Sun" 4,177,843 of that PC.

Christmas week, from 24 to 31 December was particularly auspicious: 241,845 people bought the game on PC, 325,591 on XBLA , and 706,419 the Pocket Edition .

In the only Christmas day 70,808 people bought Minecraft on PC , 100,416 people bought Minecraft on XBLA , and 283,939 bought Minecraft : Pocket Edition . This means a total of 455163 sold only on Christmas day.

The sales of the PC version are updated in real time and at the moment the count of 8.831 .612. If we add to these other versions we will reach a total of 18.909 .182.

A great success for a game from very simple concept but from almost endless playability.
