The US magazine Game Informer did a chat with Ted Price of Insomniac Games, authors of great Sunset Overdrive , and right in the way of the latter title Price explained that fans might still hope for a sequel, even if Microsoft decides not to finance it.

Price has in fact explained " we have a great passion for the franchise, and is owned by us, so you could still see the Sunset in the future by us. I make no promises, and there are times of them speak, but [Sunset] is something that represents our will to create experiences surprising. "

If you loved Sunset Overdrive , you can hope that the franchise will survive: Microsoft doesn't seem now willing to exhume it, but Insomniac could do this independently or with the assistance of a third-party Publisher. Fingers crossed!
