Announced X-Morph: Defense, a hybrid between twin-stick shooter and tower defense

Paweł Lekki, co-founder of EXOR Studios, announced X-Morph: Defense , a hybrid between double-stick shooter and tower defense. In the game, you rappel into the shoes of X-Morph, an alien who comes to Earth. Obviously you will be considered a threat, and the conflict will begin; humanity will defend the planet attaccandovi, and you have to defend yourself by destroying enemies.

Aliens land in different places around the globe, for example in South Africa, Australia, Usa, Japan, Germany, in the shores of the Caspian Sea. The X-Morph comes on every continent except Antarctica.

" What we tried to achieve was a perfect cross between a classic top down shooter and a tower defense, that would be appreciated by fans of both kinds. " said Lekki, continuing " shooting enthusiasts can enhance their ship and destroy enemies directly, while strategists among you can invest resources in more advanced towers plan elaborate mazes and outsmart the human opponents ."

In X-Morph: Defense you have to defend your base from waves of human enemies approaching. Each wave is preceded by a preparatory phase in which you will control the incoming enemy type, and observe the path. There is no time limit for this phase, which allows you so carefully plan the defenses.

One of the main features of the game lies in the fact that levels are more like those you might find in an RTS that not in a tower defense, then you will have great freedom to build defenses. Say goodbye to enemies with predefined movements. You can blow up a bridge with opponents above or throw down a skyscraper to crush anyone who fits under and block the passage.

After the preparation phase, you can directly address the enemy with your hunt. X-Morph very solid shooter experience with a large variety of weapons, special abilities and enemies to attack. The fighter X-Morph can take four different forms, each with a basic attack and a special uploaded so you can slow down time, break down the buildings with antimatter bombs create gravitational anomalies that suck the smaller enemies or load explosions EMP that will impede the functioning of air units, sending crashing to the ground.

You can destroy buildings, bridges, trees, cars, and all sorts of smaller items. Almost everything can be done in pieces. X-Morph: Defense makes use of motor "Schmetterling", made especially for this and optimized to handle the simulated physics of hundreds of items.

In some levels, the highlight will reach you when you're faced with the enormous robot bent on destroying your base. They are tireless and they will stop at nothing in order to annihilate you, even if it means ripping up entire buildings. Ground whole cities will shave!
