NPD: Xbox One sells 1.5 million units in December in the US, such a thing from the competition

A few days ago the NPD market analysis had revealed that Xbox One was the best selling console in the US in the second half of the year 2016, announcing that in relation to only the month of December was PS4 to have the distinction of being the best selling console. Today we discover, however, what was the difference between the two consoles, and things get interesting.

Windows Central has posted sales figures released by NPD for October, revealing that Xbox One sold well 1,511,000 units: one and a half million, a number that Microsoft has already declared to be the highest ever recorded in one month from Xbox.

Things get interesting though when we analyze the matter of PS4, that is had sold 1,568,000 units of which 238,000 are PS4 Pro. This means that not only the difference between the two platforms was minimal (57,000 units), but also that Xbox One has actually sold more than the direct competitor for power and price range, the PS4 base. PS4 Pro is a premium console from the higher price and more power, which for now has no direct competition on the market at least until Project Scorpio.

In short, it seems that despite the fierce resistance of Sony, Microsoft and still managed to get out very well during the month of December. The Redmond team definitely has that congratulate you, but will now have to work hard to maintain these results even in 2017.
