Titanfall 2: a new free update introduces a new mode, new maps and more

Respawn today announced that soon will be available a new free update to Titanfall 2 which will introduce a new mode called Live Fire (real ammunition) , two maps in support of this new map mode and another Coliseum. Read on to know all the details directly from Jay Frechette, Community Manager of Respawn.

Hello riders, this is Jay. Happy new year! Last year, we release our commitment to supporting long-term Titanfall 2 . The trip began with the release of Researched by Angel City ... and that's just the beginning! The 2017 reserves many news for players of Titanfall 2 and today we're excited to reveal our next updates.

In our next update, coming soon, we will introduce a new mode called Live Fire (A real Ammo) : an ultra fast mode 6v6 for pilots who poses at the forefront of the fighting at close range. A mode in which the winner wins round 3 out of 5, with no indents, where to win the round you will have one minute to eliminate the opposing team. You can also win the round if your team is in possession of the neutral flag on expiry of the time allowed. This is a fast, frantic, which will allow you to perfect the skills about teamwork and agility.

In addition, we are introducing two new maps designed specifically for Live Fire (A real Ammo): Stacks (Funnels) and Meadow (Prairie). These two maps, to be used exclusively in the list Live Fire (with ammunition), are narrow and deadly play areas designed specifically for rapid and intense nature of this new modality.

In addition to Live Fire (real ammunition) and two new maps, we will also introduce a new map Coliseum, Columns (columns) as well as another pilot runs (wait till you see what we have in store!) and several new commanders for each faction intro. Soon we will announce more details about the dates you will be available these new content, free for all players to Titanfall 2 .

In addition, we have been working on a significant update to the interface of the lists. We agree with most of the comments received: have the game modes divided on two screens is not the optimal solution. The team worked to introduce in the next update on a new interface that, for testing purposes, could be available earlier for PC. To get an idea of the planned changes, here you can see what we are working on.

Our goal is to allow players to create their own "mixtapes" and choose how they wish to be aligned. You want to play just in Survival mode, checkpoint Attrition amplified and Titan? Simply select how you want and start playing. In the coming weeks, we will provide more information.

All other information is still confidential, but you probably already understand how we intend to support Titanfall 2 after launch. Soon we will communicate our plans for the next two months, which will provide for the introduction of other maps (including revisiting some maps of Titanfall), weapons, modes and more.
