Rumor: Warner cancels play on Suicide Squad, focuses on the new Batman

The US site Kotaku today published a new scoop on Warner Bros productions. Interactive; the sources of the site state that the leadership Warner recently canceled a project already rumoreggiato and in development for two years now at Warner Bros. Montreal, the Suicide Squad , because it was considered unsatisfactory.

According to informants of the site, Warner has instead decided to concentrate all efforts of the Canadian study on another title is not official yet but already the subject of rumor in the past: a new Batman title that will not see though Bruce Wayne wear the mantle of the Dark Knight, but his son Damian , now grown and ready to replace his father as protector of Gotham. According to the previous rumor about the game, it should be an open world title with a fully populated city and day/night cycle.

From all this is excluded Rocksteady, the firm to whom we owe the success of Batman videogame, we already knew will not engage on a new Batman; weak rumor, he was however in the past to work on a game of Superman or the JLA .

We just have to wait for official reports to find out if Warner is really working on this new Batman: if confirmed, we will probably talk about the game between now and the next E3. Stay tuned!
