Bandai Namco blocks the development of Tekken X Street Fighter

The last time we heard of Tekken X Street Fighter , Bandai Namco's project that was supposed to bring the characters of Street Figher in Tekken game engine, was in January 2015, when Katsuhiro Harada explained that the game was still in development. It seems though that since then things have changed, and the project is now stopped.

This was stated in a ìntervista Harada himself to GameSpot, explaining that the crossover between the wrestlers Namco and Capcom has stopped and there are now programs to stimulate development. Harada explains that many fans of fighting games are currently engaged with Street Fighter V and many others will soon be released Tekken 7 , so Bandai Namco doesn't want further fragmenting the audience by proposing a further fighting. One might ask why haven't thought at the time of the announcement, since they already knew of the exit of the two games, but so be it.

The only way to fight each other for mates, Ryu and remains so today Kazuya Street Fighter X Tekken , unfortunately for now limited only to the past generation.
