There is not yet an official announcement by Rockstar or Microsoft, but the long-awaited version backward compatible to Red Dead Redemption is now available on Xbox One but for now only for those who bought it in digital: also in this case, however, it will not appear automatically on your console but you have to use the expedient that we show in the video at the bottom news.

Microsoft has not publicly released the game as yet, but you can download it trying on your console the user "RockoHoward" and finding the title in the list of his games: from here you can start downloading if you previously purchased digitally.

Obviously this is only a temporary measure and probably Microsoft will make it available soon to all, including those who have it on disk.

Update : Microsoft support says that playing the title ahead of time may result in a violation of contract terms of Xbox Live, while before was able to play it now no longer able to run it if not with the console offline, but is unable to save the game. Therefore we recommend to wait until the game is officially released so you won't have any problem.
