Xbox One: the response times of the new dashboard compared with the old

As we know, one of the purposes of the new Xbox Experience, the new Win10 kernel update coming in November, is to improve the speed of access to various functions. But this improvement there really is, and how much is marked?

A Reddit user who is participating in the program preview of the new dashboard has decided to clarify by comparing the times of the various features with those of the current dashboard, measuring them on equal terms (i.e. just turned on after turning off console total and the menu screen of FIFA 16). the results have been summarized graphically in a histogram : Let's see them together.

We find that with the new dashboard:

  • Join a party requires existing 5.8 seconds, while now requires 13.8
  • To create a new party and invite 3 people there want to 11.4 seconds against the current 27
  • The operation of player profile increased from 12.2 seconds current switch to 2.7, resulting even six times faster
  • Open the store and go to the first game in the list requires the new dashboard 9.1 seconds against the current 11.4
  • Send a message to a friend with the word "hello", then, requires 10 seconds against the previous 20.7

We thus discover that the new dashboard is faster in all transactions tested, with half the time almost everywhere and particularly in opening the shining player profile.

We conclude by leaving a video finally showing us the interface as it appears in the last update released yesterday: enjoy!
