Yooka-Laylee reaches faster than all the million bucks on Kickstarter

Playtonic Games last night launched a Kickstarter campaign to develop Yooka-Laylee , the spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, made by a team of veterans are Rare, and the operation has had an incredible success: the game has reached the $ 1 million (about £ 660,000) in six hours, becoming the game reached that milestone faster in the story of Kickstarter.

At the time of this writing, the campaign funding surpassed virtually all goals set forth by the developers, apart from the last from 1 million pounds which includes launching simultaneously on all platforms (if it is not reached, the game will be released first on PC, Mac and Linux, and then on the console); but since currently has exceeded 900,000 pounds without mentioning to stop, surely the latter reaches milestone in the coming hours.

Some of the achievements so far include extra boss levels, 2 player co-op mode, multiplayer mode with 4 players, the sections on "mining carts" with 2.5 D structure and professional translation in several languages including Italian.

In short, it seems that the public has a big fancy colorful platform game and a "true" Rare title! We can't wait to find out more about this interesting title.

* Update : as having postulated, was reached also the million pounds less than 24 hours since the launch of the campaign. This means that the game will arrive on Xbox One simultaneously with PC versions.
