The President of Square Enix Yosuke Matsuda revealed to the Japanese magazine Famitsu that the developer is at work on a new RPG dedicated specifically to the console: this is not a remake or a remaster and will be revealed in December. The reference to December makes us think that the game will be revealed over the course of The Game Awards , but it is also possible that the announcement comes during the PlayStation Experience , and then perhaps might not be interested because in that case it would probably be an exclusive Sony. It is not excluded that a portable console title.

Obviously when we can only make assumptions: it could be a new IP or the result of a famous brand. And now that followed major as Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III have already been announced, remain open possibilities like Dragon Quest XI or new Valkyrie Profile . In such cases the arrival on Xbox would furthermore less likely, but not impossible: after all, no one expected the announcement of Kingdom Hearts III on Xbox One, therefore it is not excluded that Square will also make his Series Multiformat that historically have been the exclusive preserve of Sony or Nintendo.
