The Bungie-Activision Destiny project is exclusive to Xbox

As many of you may know, Activision is involved in the lawsuit brought by two former developer Infinity Ward, Jason West and Vince Zampella 's, and between the documentation made available to judges, as reported by the Times , there is also the 27 pages long contract drawn up between Activision and Bungie (you can read it in its entirety to this address ). The contract of the new Bungie-Activision Project , 2010, codenamed Destiny , going to confirm the rumor previously reported, and contains interesting information on management of next-gen.

From what we read in the paper, Destiny is an intellectual property that will grow into four titles belonging to the genus shooter with a sci-fi and fantasy MMO elements, but with a bi-annual basis starting from 2013: This means that the Bungie title sequel will be released every two years, probably going to be between the release of each new Call of Duty. To inframezzare the outputs, there will also be four downloadable content called Comet that will fool the wait between a game and the other starting in 2014.

The contract continues stating that the first game of Destiny will be an Xbox 360 exclusive or otherwise for his successor to Xbox 720 (the official document mentions this name, probably as a placeholder), and the franchise will expand on PC and Playstation 3 's successor later. Although this agreement is dated 2010, its contents can give us important information on next generation consoles: Microsoft would have exclusive third-party while the new title Bungie could have a double exit on both new that the old Xbox; as for Sony, Bungie apologises to the future talking about "successor to PS3" without mentioning any releases "then cross-generation" also on the current console.

Going to analyze the financial part of the document, the royalties range from 20% to 35% while a particular clause would have to Bungie a bonus of 2.5 million dollars in case its title reached the average of 90 critical level. An additional $ 2.5 million dollars would be ready if Bungie fullfil certain criteria of quality and budget.

The document not only reveals important information for Destiny but adds that Bungie is for the first time to work on the potential sequel to Marathon , famous game released in 1994 for the Mac, to which the study should be not more than 5% of its resources while still under contract with Activision.

On the other hand, Bungie has confirmed the news directly on your website stating clearly which are not yet ready to show the results of their new effort. It's on Xbox 360 or Xbox 3, Microsoft would have in your hands a new exclusive to attract or keep close old-school gamers: we'll see if the E3 will return some new clue on title or on next-gen.
