In the latest issue of the British magazine PSM3, the Metal Gear series expert Dan Dwakins analyzed the timeline of the series, along with all the facts so far more cryptic tweet by Kojima and other evidence as pictures of Big Boss appeared in search ads, to try to understand what will be the setting of the next title of the saga, Metal Gear Solid 5 .

In his dissertation, ben 10 pages, Dwakins concludes that the game will be set between 1974 and 1980 in Africa, around diamond mines in Angola and will see again starring Big Boss, nearly 20 years after the events of MGS 3: Snake Eater. Dwakins goes so far as to suggest that, having regard to the period being considered, the game could show us the birth of Solid Snake, which occurred in the u.s. in 1972.
