GSC Game World has revealed a new trailer for Cost of Hope, the first major expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, confirming its launch for summer 2026. The expansion represents the second chapter of the "second trilogy" of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., promising dozens of hours of gameplay, intense exploration and revelations that live up to the legacy of the saga.

At the center of the story of this expansion we will find the historical conflict between two factions of the Zone: Duty and Freedom. Zulu, a veteran of the series aligned with Duty, and Mavka, a member of Freedom, will find themselves investigating new and disturbing mysteries, as the tension between the two factions reaches new levels. As Skif we will have to face unexplored paths and unimaginable dangers, making decisions that will affect the future of Chornobyl again.

The expansion will take us to discover new locations such as the Iron Forest and the CNPP, alongside family areas completely reinterpreted to offer fresh experiences to both veterans of the franchise and those approaching the Zone for the first time. The trailer highlights a deeply emotional journey, characterized by uncanny encounters, complex personalities and a pervasive sense of decadence, all immersed in the iconic atmosphere that defined the series.
