As promised, yesterday 2K and Visual Concepts officially raised the curtain on WWE 2K26, the next chapter of the famous wrestling series that promises to be the most ambitious ever. The game will arrive on Xbox Series X|S (the old generation is therefore finally excluded) on March 13, but we will be able to enter the ring as early as March 6 thanks to the early access guaranteed by the special editions.

This year the cover of the Standard Edition features "The Best in the World" CM Punk, who returns as the main face of the franchise after more than ten years, bringing with him a narrative experience entirely dedicated to his turbulent and glorious career.

At the center of this year's offer we will find the 2K Showcase entitled "Punked", narrated directly by CM Punk. Through this mode, we will be able to retrace the most iconic and controversial moments of his rise, participating in historical matches and facing legends in "Fantasy Warfare" scenarios. Accompanying this journey will be an unprecedented roster: we will be able to choose from over 400 Superstars, drawing on current talents from RAW, SmackDown and NXT, as well as a huge selection of Legends and Hall of Fame members such as John Cena, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, with expected returns such as that of Rey Fénix or Rusev.

On the gameplay front, WWE 2K26 introduces four new types of matches that are in high demand: we will finally be able to challenge each other in matches I Quit, Inferno, 3 Stages of Hell and Dumpster matches. The action in the ring will be more dynamic thanks to a completely revamped attack and stamina system, as well as improved physics that will make every impact more realistic. We will have new offensive tools at our disposal, such as the ability to stack tables or use shopping carts and thumbtacks in larger, more interactive environments. In addition, we will be able to play intergender matches in all the main modes, enjoying an audio sector enriched by the commentary of Booker T and Wade Barrett and finally interactive entrances.

Historical modes receive significant updates to increase variety and replayability. In MyRISE, we will be able to define the path of our Superstar through two new division-based storylines, where each of our choices will drastically affect the future of the career. The WWE Draft finally makes its debut in the Universe sandbox mode, while in MyGM we will be able to manage longer shows with matches that include up to 8 participants. The Island also expands, giving us a bigger social environment with new factions to fight for and a revised progression system.

As for the versions available, in addition to the Standard Edition we will be able to choose between the King of Kings Edition (dedicated to Triple H), the Attitude Era Edition and the luxurious Monday Night War Edition. The latter will include legendary content related to WCW and the Attitude Era, as well as access to the six seasons of the new Ring Edge Pass, which this year will replace the classic DLC model by offering Superstars and unlockable items over time through progression. Anyone who pre-orders on Xbox or PC will receive the Joe Hendry Pack, which will allow us to play the role of the famous athlete from launch day, as well as a digital copy of the previous chapter.
