Screamer demonstrates the game modes in video

Milestone has released a new trailer dedicated to the new arcade racer Screamer, offering us an in-depth look at the game's modes scheduled for March 26.

At the center of the experience we will find a full-bodied single-player campaign based on an underground racing tournament. In this competition we will have to choose between five different teams, each made up of three drivers with unique stories and motivations. The narrative promises to be particularly accurate, with film sequences that see the participation of actors of the caliber of Troy Baker and Aleks Le. During the races, we will have the Echo System at our disposal, a technology installed on each vehicle that will allow us to alternate offensive and defensive maneuvers to get the better of our opponents.

The game modes proposed by Screamer promise a mix of adrenaline and tactics. In team races, for example, it will not be enough to be the fastest: victory will be determined by a score that combines the placement at the finish line with the number of KOs inflicted on rivals, pushing us to actively cooperate with our teammates. If, on the other hand, we look for absolute risk, we will be able to try our hand at the Overdrive challenge, where the performance of the cars will be taken to the limit from the start; In this case, however, no mistakes will be allowed, as a single accident will mark the end of our race.

For lovers of experiences closer to arcade classics, Milestone has included several specific options. We can test ourselves in the points challenge, where we will have to accumulate the highest score through stunts and reckless actions, or test our reflexes in the Time Attack and Checkpoint modes, where the precision of the trajectories and the fight against time will be essential for survival. For those who want maximum freedom, it will be possible to configure custom races by changing every single parameter of the competition.

Finally, there will be a solid multiplayer component. We can climb the leaderboards in online team races, participate in rotating playlists in the Mixtape mode or create private lobbies to challenge our friends with tailor-made rules. The presence of the split-screen mode has also been confirmed, which will allow us to have fun locally with up to four players at the same time. By mastering every aspect of the Screamer ecosystem, we'll be able to refine our driving style and unlock numerous items to customize our experience.

We leave you to the video, enjoy!
