Team17 and Expression Games today released a new trailer for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, giving us a first look at the gameplay and graphical rendering of the game engine. This new chapter will transport us directly into one of the most iconic conflicts in history, maintaining the nature of hardcore 50 vs 50 shooters that has made the franchise famous.

The footage immediately immerses us in the heavy atmosphere of war: between the barely filtering sunlight and the din of approaching helicopters, it is clear that we will have to take advantage of every advantage offered by the lush landscape to survive. Tactical cooperation with our platoon will remain the only hope of salvation on the battlefield, where we will have access to large-caliber armaments and fully operational vehicles.

One of the most interesting innovations concerns the means of transport. We can take control of heavily armed vessels, such as the iconic American PBR patrols, to navigate the rivers, but the real change will come from the skies. Air units, in fact, will play a crucial role: helicopters will not only be used to provide aerial firepower, but will be essential for the rapid deployment of troops in landing zones, for reconnaissance and to deliver vital supplies to the team in tactical positions.

On the map front, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will introduce 6 locations ranging from dense jungles to winding deltas and open clearings, offering unique tactical challenges. Particularly insidious will be the mechanics linked to the North Vietnamese forces, which will have the ability to build vast networks of tunnels. This will grant them a significant strategic advantage, allowing hidden troop movements and surprise attacks that will force us to constantly review our defensive tactics to contain the chaos and bring home victory.
