Microsoft today released a new Xbox commercial made in collaboration with Samsung and filmed by David Fincher and Romain Chassaing; the video, entitled "Wake Up", invites us to wake up from a monotonous working life by escaping in video games.

The video also brings to mind the videogame advertisements of the early 2000s, when the focus was more on the scenic effect than on showing screens, consoles and controllers; how can we forget the memorable Life is Short and Standoff?
