Bandai Namco today announced the release of the free Arena update of Elden Ring, From Software's masterpiece winner of multiple critics' awards. The update introduces three PvP arenas located respectively in Limgrave, Caelid and Leyndell, each with its own modes and rules.

Here is the official information on the new arenas and new aesthetic elements, followed by the launch trailer of the update.

The Limgrave Arena includes two modes: "United Combat" and "Combat Ordeal".

• In "United Combat", fighters will be divided into two teams to fight in some timed battles with the possibility of being reborn. Each death and rebirth grants points to opponents, while victory will be awarded to the team with the highest score.
• In "Combat Ordeal", each Lightless fights for himself. Also in this mode the fighters can be reborn until the timer reaches zero. At that point, the winner will be the one with the highest score.

The Royal Arena, located in Leyndell, includes Duel mode. Two Lightless face each other in a ruthless duel to the death and without any possibility of rebirth.

The Caelid Arena includes all of the above modes with the addition of the ability to summon spirit ashes to fight alongside players.

Fight only with your own strength or use group passwords to confront or against friends, and prove your worth in the Arenas!

Aesthetic elements – There will also be five new hairstyles waiting for players who return to live their adventure in ELDEN RING or face new challenges in the Arenas.
