Capcom confirms the arrival of Monster Hunter Rise on Xbox and Game Pass

The rumor of a few days ago proved to be correct: the exclusive Switch Monster Hunter Rise is coming to Xbox on January 20, and will be included in the Game Pass at launch. Here is a description of the game, the announcement trailer of the Xbox version and a set of images.

Monster Hunter Rise is the latest installment in the series of action role-playing games and transports players to the village of Kamura, a colorful and tranquil setting that attracts visitors with its unique culture and innovative hunting technologies. The core gameplay experience of Monster Hunter Rise remains faithful to the previous and appreciated Monster Hunter . Hunters must equip their armor and choose one of 14 different types of weapons to take on the most fearsome enemies. As players defeat monsters and progress through the game, items made from fallen enemies can be used to create unique weapons and armor that increase their chances of survival. Hunters can take on these challenges alone or with up to three other hunters in online co-op play.

Monster Hunter Rise evolves the series by introducing several new and exciting mechanics that hunters will have to master. Grappling hook actions can be performed using a standing or mid-air "Wirebug", adding a new layer of aerial maneuverability to hunting strategies and attacks. In addition, the game features the "Wyvern Riding" technique, which allows players to temporarily take control of a monster and create spectacular battle sequences while hunting. Monster Hunter Rise also introduces new hunting companions called Palamutes, customized, ride-on "Canyne" companions that offer players new attack options. The "Canyne" Palamutes join the "Felyne" Palicoes, the favorites of the series, to assist players during hunting trips.

Monster Hunter Rise features customizable optimizations, allowing hunters to enjoy the journey with 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on Xbox Series X, while also offering 3D audio. Monster Hunter Rise will launch for $ 39.99 on January 20, 2023 and is available for pre-purchase now. The game will also arrive on Xbox Game Pass at launch.

After the debut of Monster Hunter Rise, players will be able to wait for the release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, the monstrous expansion that will be available to home console players in spring 2023.
