Elden Ring will have two graphic modes; Ray-Tracing comes with a patch after launch

Bandai Namco has begun to spread some technical information about From Software's new souls-like, Elden Ring, revealing that the game will have two graphics modes on Xbox Series X|S PS5: Resolution and Performance.

As you can easily guess, these two modes will allow us to prefer the graphic resolution or the frame-rate. The game will always try to reach the resolution of 4K on Xbox Series X and 1440p on Series S , but choosing the Resolution mode this will be achieved more consistently by sacrificing the frame-rate, which will be fixed at 30 fps, while in Performance mode the frame-rate will be set at 60 fps and the resolution (and probably other graphic features) will scale dynamically to allow the game to devote more power to the frame-rate.

But that's not all: the publisher has confirmed that the game will also have ray-tracing support on Xbox Series X launch, with a special patch. It is not known, at the moment, how long we will have to wait for this update.

We remind you that Elden Ring is expected for February 25th.
