Important news are coming to the world of Sea of Thieves,the exclusive Rare Xbox that, three years after its debut, continues to evolve, update after update. This time the British team released a new video illustrating the novelty that will change the game forever: the seasonal progression.

On Sea of Thieves will come the Seasons,which will consist of 100 levels to reach, each with a unique reward. Each Season will last three months and will call on all pirates to perform certain activities and trials to unlock all 100 progression levels.

The activities are divided into three categories: Adventure, Exploration, and Combat. Each of them will have its own tests to complete (making Trips, Stories, conquering Fortresses, etc.). Going up one level will unlock a reward, such as new weapons or clothes, some of which will be exclusive to Legendary Pirates.

Among the news of the update we also find a new Merchant's Journey, which will call us to track down a missing cargo, following clues such as real investigators. In addition, the Season will bring with it new Trips, Features and Live Events.

There is also a Premium version of the Season, accessible by purchasing the Plunder Pass,which provides 11 exclusive seasonal rewards. These rewards will only be cosmetic, so any pay-to-win mechanics are excluded.
