Destiny 2: What ends up in content storage with the new season

With the arrival on November 10 of Oltre La Luce, the project aimed at "cleaning up" in the gigantic universe of Destiny 2,which has become almost unmanageable for both Bungie programmers and our hard-disks, also kicks off.

From next week, as many as four planets- the ones on which the mysterious presence of the Pyramids dominates today - Mercury, Io, Mars and Titan - will no longer be visitable. The removal of these planets from Destiny 2 will be integral, so all activities and enterprises that take place even in part on one of them will suffer the same fate.

This applies primarily to the chapters of the Campaigns that are part of the base game: "The Red War", " The Curse ofOsiris" and "The War Mind".

Since Destiny 2 was rethought in a free-to-play version it is still possible to play these Campaigns, although in a somewhat brainy way (you have to talk to Amanda Holliday in the Tower Hangar and get the related Feats from her). With the removal of these planets, Bungie instead had to prepare a completely revised "experience" for all those who will only now approach the game, on which he has so far maintained strict reserve. We know, however, that at least these missions will be accessible in a somewhat less cryptic way: in fact, we will find on the Tower a new Archive of Companies, from where to start these and other companies possibly abandoned during the gaming experience.

Another important element that will be removed is the first Raid: the Leviathan, along with all its derivations. Although this does not take place on the planets listed above, Bungie still felt he had to eliminate it to lighten the game and make room for the new Raid that will arrive in the new Season.
Failing this Raid will make two of the game's achievements unusable(as things stand, bungie doesn't rule out switching on to change them), so if you're among those who pay close attention to their achievement completion percentage, you're notified!

Along with it, other content related to the Leviathan and "Season of Opulence" isalso deleted:the 6-player PvE mode "The Menagerie" and the " Tribute Hall ".

In addition to the possibility of living this content, the main fallout of this slimming cure falls on exotic weapons: many of them can be obtained by completing Quest that takes place on the removed planets, or by completing the Leviathan. What's more, many of its Catalysts (i.e. unique modifiers to be applied to Exotic weapons to make them even more effective) also require these locations to be dropped and/or activated.

We refer you to the official website for the official list of Exotics that can no longer be obtained from next week, here we simply point out that among them there are weapons very popular for their effectiveness both in PvE (such as the "Whisper of the Worm" or "Anarchy") and in PvP (such as "Ace of Spades").

Most of these weapons will become obtainable directly on the Tower using the new Monument to the Lost Exotics, for a counterpart of materials and ciphers corresponding to the difficulty/length of the Enterprise to which they were previously connected. For Exotics linked to raid completion, a new token must be added, called "Remains of Conquest" that can be obtained by completing one of the existing Raids.

Finally, good news: to facilitate the recovery of these Exotic weapons, Xur will also make a quest available every week to obtain a new Exotic Cipher, which will then become a little less rare than it is currently.

Speaking of the Tower, here too a lot of content will be removed, for example almost everything connected to the "Season of the Drifter": all the refinement and decryption part of the Shady Engramswill disappear, so be sure to convert all your shady engrams by the weekend!
Gambit modewillremain, but will be reviewed by mergingwith " Gambit Excellent" in one version. Instead, the related " Verdict "mode disappears.

Bergusia, Izanami, Volundr and Gofannon will no longer be available.Armeria Nera

Finally, we come to the most important question: is it really goodbye?
The answer, fortunately, is no.

Bungie has always talked about content stored in aVaultfrom which it plans to re-fish over time the various contents, obviously revised and corrected. Probabilmemte in the future we will see for example the Leviathan with a new look: with a very similar approach Bungie has already communicated that he intends to recover the " Vault ofGlass" raid from the first Destiny shortly.

Nonetheless, if you have quests going on related to: country parts, Exotic weapons, collectibles present in the removed planets... the advice is to conclude everything by the weekend, so as not to frustrate the progress achieved.

Also do not forget to use and/or resell all consumables connected to those worlds, which in the same way will be removed from your inventories (Trovarune, Radiolar Culture, Polymers of the Forge: find the complete list here).

It's definitely a drastic choice from Bungie, but it's necessary to get back on track with a fourth year of Destiny 2 packed with new content. We hope with this guide that we have given you some useful indications to better prepare for the news coming soon!
