The exclusive Xbox The Falconeer goes to 120 fps on both Series X and S; all the details

Wired Productions and developer Tomas Sala today announced performance data from the exclusive Xbox The Falconeerconsole, open world RPG that will see us fly a giant hawk in a steampunk world almost entirely covered by the seas, and with gameplay inspired by classics like Crimson Skies and Freelancer.

The game, the developer reveals, will go to 4K and 60 fps on Xbox Series X,or for those who choose performance mode will go to 1800p and 120 fps. A result undoubtedly excellent, but predictable since we are talking about a title yes vast, but graphically "light"; it uses a rendering technique that does not use textures.

What's most surprising, though, is the performance on Xbox Series S,where the game goes to 1800p and 60 fps or, in performance mode,at 1080p and 120 fps. Given that the low-end next-gen console has 1440p resolution as its ideal target, it's interesting to see how it can even exceed that target or how, at 1080p, it has no problem reaching 120 fps.

What about the current consoles? On Xbox One S it will turn at 1080p and 60 fps, however a good result and testimony of the already mentioned "lightness" of the title, while on Xbox One X it will go to 1800p and 60 fps. However, the developer also explains that while the current-gen game will take 42 seconds to start a game, the new consoles will do so in 13 seconds thanks to the high-performance internal SSD disc.

We remind you that The Falconeer will arrive on November 10th, at the same time as the release of the new consoles.
