Phil Spencer: Microsoft working to bring FF XIV to Xbox, acquisitions aren't over

During his presence in London for the X019, The head of Microsoft's Gaming division Phil Spencer spoke to the press and revealed some interesting information about the future of Xbox. One of these is that, after the announcement of the future arrival of all Final Fantasy in the Game Pass,Redmond's house is actively working to bring the MMO Final Fantasy XIV to Xbox, complete with cross-play and made in the most appropriate way for players.

But that's not all: When asked if Microsoft had ended with the wave of acquisitions that led to numerous major studios joining Xbox Game Studios, Spencer responded with a dry "no" by explaining that he is still looking for new talent to join the team, and that he is looking to the Asian market (Japan, China, Korea, etc.) to fill a gap in the company's First Party offering. Spencer explained, however, that this does not want to be a pre-announcement of some acquisitions in the near future, but that the intention is there and that work is being done to add more studies, possibly Asian, to the XGS stable.

We hope to have more information on this by E3 2020!
