A new Xbox Beta app peeps at the Microsoft Store

A few days ago Microsoft renamed the Xbox app for Windows 10 to "Companion console Xbox", to make it clear that this is dedicated only to console owners as opposed To theXbox Game Bar that instead serves FOR all gaming on PC. But it seems that another Xbox app is coming, which could be announced during the E3.

In fact, the Microsoft Store appeared a new app "Xbox Beta", not yet downloadable, whose Description reads: "with THE new Xbox app for PC Windows 10 discover and download new games with Xbox game Pass, see what your friends are playing and Chat with them via Xbox consoles, mobile devices and PCS. You can also buy famous PC titles, downloadable content and add-ons from the Store, in one place."

It would seem therefore an app intended to support the current, in fact does not seem to have the features of navigation on Xbox groups, control in streaming console and other, but has options of social interaction and above all focuses On the exploration of the Store (both Xbox and PC) and Game Pass.

These are the features listed:

  • Explore the news and catalog of Xbox Game Pass games on your PC. Browse the various titles by genre, see the recommended games and in the foreground, search for a specific game and sign up for Game Pass.
  • Game details Show trailers, screenshots, system requirements, ratings and reviews. You'll also see add-ons and tips for similar games that other players also love.
  • Manage the games installed with the sidebar. The newest games are at the top, but you can reorder them as you think. Displays the status of the download and starts a game installed with a single click.
  • Chat with your friends, in 1 to 1 or group mode, using voice or text on PC, Xbox One and mobile devices.
  • The new Xbox app and Xbox Game Bar can be used together, so players can continue the conversation from the Social tab while they play.

We just have to wait for more details from Microsoft; Meanwhile here are some images of the interface.
