Independent developer Matt Thorson has announced via Twitter that the platform game Celeste has exceeded half a million copies sold since its release took place last January 26 . Thorson has also anticipated that the title will be enriched with new content by adding new levels which he defines "very difficult" and that will be available at the beginning of 2019.

Celeste has pixelated graphics retro and modern half that conceals a deep content and storyline which causes the player to think about certain subjects; in fact, the title has been awarded during the past The Game Awards through two awards: the first as best independent game and the second as Games for Impact.

This first and great result is a huge success for an independent study and we hope that with the expansion of new content and thanks to awards can reach other sales thresholds higher.
