Warner reveals details on Xbox One X support of Middle Earth: the shadow of war

As we know Middle-Earth: the shadow of war will exploit the power of the new Microsoft console, Xbox One X, but to date the developers had not released any details about what improvements will be featured in the game. Today Warner Bros. reveals us these details revealing that, similarly to what will also Rise of the Tomb Raider , X title will provide two different display modes.

Underlying all native 4 k resolution, we will of course but will support dynamic scaling in order to better manage complex scenes, and this will depend on the selected mode. The game will feature two modes: Want Resolution and Prefer Quality .

Do you prefer Resolution render as fast as 4 k resolution high definition textures but without further graphical improvements over version Xbox One base: here 4 k resolution native will almost always falling as little as possible in the scenes heavier, and therefore the mode designed for purists of the resolution, who want to make the most of every pixel of their Ultra HD TV.

Do you prefer Quality instead, will sacrifice the resolution with cali 4 k higher than natives, but on the other hand will improve all other aspects of the image; It will be like putting all graphic settings of PC gaming. Also in this case the textures in high definition, which will be this time accompanied by a greater Visual distance, improved lighting and shadows, better quality and density of the vegetation, great ambient occlusion, greater mole polygonal that will boost further the level of detail to screen and improved texture filtering (anisotropic filtering).

If for you it is not important to have the maximum resolution you prefer Quality mode will allow you to have a richer visual experience; is certainly the most recommended even for those with TVs 1080 p, so you will have a much higher visual quality than that which would have gained by playing on Xbox One base. 1080 p TV owners will also be able to enjoy the benefits of supersampling , always present as on all securities improved for Xbox One X in both modes.

Warner did not reveal how much it will weigh the update of the game which will support 4 k, but we discover a very interesting detail: while the update will be mandatory for all on Xbox One X, will arrive as DLC optional one package with all the cut-scenes from the game rendered in 4 k. By downloading it you will enjoy the best possible experience, but if you don't you download you'll see movies in 1080 p. Even so, this is a great option for those who will use the console with a FullHD screen, allowing you to save disk space and download time.
