Rocket League: the cross-play with the PC version comes tonight

The study of development Psyonix , creator of sports racing Rocket League , announced that tonight their title will begin to exploit the Cross-Network Play with PC. The function, announced by Microsoft last March, opens the Xbox Live multiplayer with other platforms such as Steam and, hypothetically, even with the PSN .

As for Rocket League , the developer announced that for now the Cross-Network Play will occur between users Xbox Live and Steam users. The user base of the title on Xbox One is estimated at about 2 million players, but now this is going to increase considerably by including all PC gamers. Players will still decide through a dedicated matchmaking menu option if all users or only play with players on the same platform.

" We are truly excited to allow players to play together" PC and Xbox One said Jeremy Dunham, Vice President of Psyonix. " The Cross-Network Play is a required function right away by players Xbox One since the game's launch, and now thanks to the new Microsoft policy, we are proud to be able to offer you all".

The feature will be enabled for all tonight at midnight.
