Ubisoft registers the title of former draft Désilets and THQ, 1666

Not everyone knows that Patrice Désilets, the original author of the first three Assassin's Creed Brotherhood until, after her divorce with Ubisoft had passed to THQ, where he was working on a top secret project 1666 , which knew only that he had once again a historical background (involving somehow the Dutch painter Rembrandt) and it would be " the new Assassin's Creed " but with an extremely innovative approach.

The rest is history: THQ, Ubisoft Montreal studio acquired failed and Désilets left because he didn't want to have anything to do with his previous employers, citing rather concerned to obtain the rights to the game to which he had now worked for over a year.

Since then I have had no news of 1666 , but things could be changing: Ubisoft has recently recorded the title game at the u.s. patent and Trademark Office : This indicates the imminent official share ads, maybe at E3? We just have to wait for developments.
