Activision: 9.5 million registered players for Destiny, sequel already in the works

At a meeting held with investors, Activision's CEO Eric Hirshberg is back to talk about Destiny , the new sci-fi FPS made in Bungie released last September in version Xbox Xbox 360 and and the PlayStation 4.

The numbers are impressive, the game in fact already boasts 9.5 million registered users (although some of these may have more than one registered profile) and it is reported that the average player spends about 3 hours of play each day.  Destiny is also described as "the biggest launch in history for a new franchise" and one of the 10 greatest videogame launches "never occurred in the United States" .

Speaking later on the future of the brand, Hirshberg has also stated that at the time the study is busy with the future expansion packs and on developing new game in the series . At the moment it is not known whether this will be called Destiny 2.

Maybe it's a bit early, but it seems that the long-awaited official (as expected) sequel to Destiny is already in the works, although obviously see him only in a few years. There remains, therefore, that wait, trying perhaps to fool waiting for playing with the first installment of the series, remembering that the first expansion of the game, named " the darkness from the deep" , will be issued from next December 9.
