Microsoft has announced a new free weekend for all Xbox Live Gold season ticket holders to enjoy the usual Free PlayDays: this weekend you can download and play for free Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition from today and until 8:59am on Monday 22July.

As always, free game days will allow you to try the title in its entirety and keep any progress made over the weekend in case you decide to buy the full title that is available at a discount 40% thanks to the summer Super Game Sale initiative and can be purchased for 17.99 euros.

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, released last April, is a full edition of all DLC, remastered, revised and corrected with the first title of the series originally released on Xbox 360; So if you have an Xbox Live Goldsubscription, this might be the right opportunity to try out the game and possibly buy it for the now-imminent Borderlands 3, which is due for release next 13th September
