The lunar new year celebrations of Overwatch started, and we hope this seasonal event brings you joy, prosperity and, most importantly, lots of fun. For the next 3 weeks you can collect more than 100 new cosmetic items, fight in the light of the fireworks in the Tower of Lijiang and a team player to capture the flag in the new brawl of Overwatch.

Fortune and glory await

As of today, all of the chests of the game have been replaced with the special treasure chests on the Moon, where you will find beautiful gifts, including new models like D.VA sedan chair and Winston Wukong!

As in past events, even Moon chests can be obtained or purchased, and each will contain at least one object in the collection year of the rooster: icons, spray, victorious poses, emote, highlight, models and much more. The contents of seasonal Chests are random, but you can unlock different customizations using the in-game credits in the arcade heroes during the duration of the event.

Once unlocked, the object will be yours forever, so you can use it to celebrate throughout the year of the rooster. The collection will return in the cellar on February 13 , then turn on your favorite gaming platform and find out what there fate before it's too late!

Captures the cock

No special event might be without a fight, and for the year of the Rooster we winked to tradition with a version of a staple of competitive play style Overwatch: capture the flag mode.

In the affray Captures the cock, the teams will face off in the Tower of Lijiang in an attempt to steal the flag of the enemy, who will try to do the same. In this frantic fight you have to be creative in the composition of the team, that'll have to be quick on offense and stable in defense.
