As we know, after the last two titles were made by Treyarch ( Black Ops III ) and Infinity Ward ( Endless Warfare ), the next Call of Duty series title will again be developed by Sledgehammer Games, the studio that released two years ago Advanced Warfare ; now a tweet from the CEO of the firm, Michael Condrey, might suggest the setting of the new game.

Condrey has published on Christmas day a Christmas card containing the image of a gun and the famous logo of the Call of Duty series.

And it is the gun that many think could provide a clue about the new CoD: it is actually a Colt M1911, weapon of the U.S. Army ordinazna from 1911 to 1985, which would suggest that the new installment of the popular saga could be set in the past and therefore relate to a historical event (the weapon was used in both before World War II , as well as in other major conflicts of the last century), abandoning so science fiction scenarios adopted over the last episodes of the saga.
