Blizzard: the competitive mode of Overwatch arrives next week out of Consul

Blizzard has announced that competitive mode for Overwatch will arrive on Xbox One next week. The company has released a forum post that reads: "we don't have an exact date to share but we can confirm that the patch is going to be approved right now on both platforms."

In order to access this game mode, dedicated to frequent players, one must have reached level 25 . Before you begin the climb to the competitive mode, every new player will play 10 placement matches to get their initial assessment index, expressed on a scale from 1 to 100.

The competitive mode consists of four seasons, each of which lasts two and a half months. The 2016 Summer season has begun, and this will be slightly less than the next. Blizzard explains: "this is because our competitive game patches will be launched in the middle of the summer 2016, which technically began on 1 June (a minor side effect of our real world season) and as a result, our inaugural season will include about one and a half months, and game, rather than the usual 2 and a half months , and therefore on 18 August on all platforms. Autumn 2016 will begin as planned following our standard two-week break out season. "
