Spencer: Scorpio will not provide benefits to those who do not have a 4 k TV

Until now it was thought that the new Microsoft console coming up at the end of 2017, codenamed Project Scorpio would provide large performance benefits in all games Beyond just 4 k native resolution, but according to Phil Spencer to Microsoft will not be so.

Eurogamer 's question about why consumers should buy Xbox One S instead of waiting for Scorpio, Spencer has explained that if a player has a FullHD TV won't have any advantage from the possession of Scorpio and would do so better to buy Xbox One S, coming out in August. His statement was clear: " S body is designed as a 4 k console console, and if you don't have a 4 k TV won't be able to see the benefits for which it is intended. "

This would suggest then that Microsoft intends to take advantage of the increased power of the console only to render the Xbox One games in 4 k resolution, but without adding effects, improve performance, and so on, and for the VR. A statement that we find it hard to believe: you with all that power, a game on Xbox One frame-rate problems cannot go more smoothly, or one that maybe goes to 720 p cannot go to 1080 p? Or maybe the developers will not be able to add visual effects that are not present on Xbox One but on Scorpio Yes?

Our hope is that the Declaration of Spencer had time only to say " don't wait order 2017 to buy the new console, buy Xbox One now! " as there is a risk that the announcement of Scorpio "kill" sales of Xbox One putting potential buyers waiting for the new console.

To learn about how things we should probably wait a year, when the next E3 will show the new console and discover the real benefits it brings to the titles that will run.
