Blizzard: the competitive mode of Overwatch arrives with the first update, towards the end of June

Blizzard Entertainment announced that the competitive mode of the hero shooter Overwatch , available starting today on retail shelves and Xbox One , will be introduced with the first update of the game, scheduled for late June.

The competitive mode that was present in the beta in April, will allow us to challenge players of the same rank, allowing us to increase our level and climb the ranks in seasons that will last up to two and a half months and will be interspersed with one or two weeks off. Victory after victory players will also get new rewards like spray, icons player, new voices for their characters, and more. The mode has been removed from the feature of the Day One because the developers wanted to first make some changes derived from feedback from the beta.

The software company also said it is currently experimenting with new modes of play to implement into the playlist dedicated to "Weekly Brawls" that allows developers to experiment and try out new ideas before adding them permanently in the game.
