As reported by an employee of Linkedin profile ADIA Entertainment , Chinese companies working on realization of assets for video games, it seems that Rebellion has started the development of the sequel to the popular third person shooter, Sniper Elite III .

From the job list for the employee in question appears the name of Sniper Elite IV, followed by the name of the development team, the guys at Rebellion .

However Jason Kingsley, co-founder of Rebellion, interviewed by fellow American Gamers site commented the news:

"To be honest we are flattered that people are actively pursuing looking for information on a new chapter of Sniper Elite, and certainly do not regret that we mention next to projects like Black Ops 3 and Unreal. However the person in question doesn't work for Rebellion and we didn't announce any new chapter of Sniper Elite."

J. Kingsley added:

"Last year we celebrated the tenth birthday of Sniper Elite series set at ten million copies sold, then Sniper Elite remains a critically important IP both for Rebellion that all independent developers of the United Kingdom.

We're getting ready to announce soon a new game Rebellion, so expect some information from our side before the upcoming Game Developers Conference "
