Ubisoft: no Assassin's Creed in 2016 confirms new Watch Dogs

Unlike what we had become accustomed to since a generation ago, Ubisoft will not release a new episode of the Assassin's Creed series this year. The announcement comes via a press release issued by the Publisher on their official blog .

This is as stated in the press release:

"This year we decided to take a step back compared to past years to retest the Assassin's Creed franchise.

As a result, we determined that this year we'll release a new chapter of Assassin's Creed. The decision is the result not only of the feedback we received from our users about the recent Assassin's Creed Unity, but also because we want to renew our development processes and we are working in order to bring Assassin's Creed to occupy an important position in the genre of open world titles.

We will take a year to review and renew the game mechanics and to ensure we can keep the promise made at the beginning of the saga, which is to offer a unique and memorable experience that will remain etched in history of each player! "

The series take a hiatus for renewal and return probably next year with real news; We hope that this can benefit the franchise.

Please also be advised that Ubisoft has confirmed the already rumoreggiato developing a new Watch Dogs , set for release by April 2017; within this period will arrive also the new RPG dedicated to South Park and a completely new IP. We can expect some of these at Christmas time, and definitely we will know more in June during E3. Stay tuned for all the news!
