EA goes out of E3 this year, announces its EA Play event

Electronic Arts announced today that, for the first time in the history of Los Angeles event, will not be present this year at E3. This is because the Publisher will hold a public event, called EA games in the days before E3 and held in both Los Angeles and London, complete with a live web conference.

The event will be held in Los Angeles from June 12 to 14, while in London on June 12 only. E3, however, will take place from 14 to 16 of the same month.

Chriss bruzzo, CMO at EA, said that the press conference will be held live on June 12 and will be "very similar to that of last year, meaning they will be all about games, but will be also organized races competitive, there will be special guests, musical performances and other cool stuff that will make it a great event."

Bruzzo explained that, after the Conference, "the present on site will be able to experience first hand our games."

However, with regard to the dissemination of the event, those were his words: "we will send the three day event on channels EA, but we plan to have spaces where content creators can transmit streaming directly from their channels.

E3 loses an important Exhibitor, the largest video game publisher that occupied a large portion of the showfloor in recent years: from our perspective of players though this won't change things much: there will still be the Conference EA and there will be ads (expect major news on series like Mass Effect and Star Wars ), but it will be a few days before E3 rather than simultaneously , making it even easier to follow all the news without much overlap.
