Rumor: Microsoft preparing a collection with 30 Rare classics titles

Just hours after the Microsoft E3 Conference here a new rumor that could anticipate one of the announcements that will be made; Kotaku reports that he had heard from his sources that, in addition to the new Rare title thought specifically for the Xbox, Microsoft is about to announce even a sort of "Rare HD Collection" with over 30 classic British software house, arriving in summer and designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the study.

The collection might be Rare Replay and according to the site would contain the porting in HD games like Battletoads (NES), Jet Force Gemini (N64), Banjo Kazooie (N64), Kameo (360), Perfect Dark (N64/360) and Blast Corps (N64), as well as many others. It would probably all "direct" porting in high resolution, with no special graphic improvements compared to the original versions.

The site has also received a picture of a monitor of the GameStop chain where the game is listed as "Battletoads" RarePlay/Kit: the presence of that "Battletoads" Kit might suggest that the game could be launched in digital form with a set of free games, while others may be sold separately in special "kits" or "Ultimate package" as experienced already with Killer Instinct .

For now they are just rumors and we don't know how much truth there is, but fortunately we don't have to wait long: to Microsoft 18:30 for the Conference!
