Rocksteady explains a new weapon of Batman Arkham Knight: the disruptor

The latest trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight showed us, among other things, a new long-range weapon called "Disruptor", used by Batman to block enemy weapons. Yesterday has been included on the official forum for an explanation on how to use this gadget.

The most interesting thing is that the weapon has only three charges for each "meeting" with enemies; This means that, after charges, you will not be able to get new ones until you come across a new group of enemies. These characteristics of the Disruptor:

  • Can make jam enemy weapons while sparano
  • Can blow up enemy weapons (using two charges, then you can do once per match)
  • Can pimp your crates of weapons to electrocute opponents when they try to obtain
  • Can mark of vehicles equipped with a tracking device for pursuits with the Batmobile

Expansion of tactical possibilities of Batman

The Disruptor will make Batman a wide range tactics even before you start every battle. As seen, it can be used to jam enemy weapons, gaining a tactical advantage of no small account. Predator challenges the Disruptor can be used to make the devices unusable or enemies to turn them against your user.  In addition, the Disruptor will be fitted with a long-range scope that will allow Batman to control the situation directly from the rooftops of Gotham City with pinpoint accuracy.

Numerous expansions

The Disruptor will be provided with a comprehensive list of expansions, each of which will provide a unique advantage to Batman. For example, the "additional charge" will give more simultaneous options for each collision, allowing greater control over weapons and devices that could be an obstacle. In another case, a high level update will hack and disturb the turrets of drone tanks so as to create a backfire that destroy the turrets themselves.

You can take a look at how does the Disruptor in the GIF below, showing how Batman uses to disable the weapon by a felon.
