Xbox One: the video signal transmission from other devices arrive for the members preview

Microsoft has released in the last few hours a new Xbox feature One, for now available only to members of the program preview: console support for streaming audio/video using the Miracast Protocol. This is a standard very similar to Apple's AirPlay and Google currently Chromecast adopted already by numerous devices, which allows you to transfer a wireless video up to 1080 p and 5.1 audio from your smartphone, tablet, laptop or other device to your TV screen, thus eliminating the need for cables.

To test the new feature, the members of the program preview must start the quest "Extend your screen", which will be able to download the new app "Wireless Display". Once you launch the app, all you have to do is use a Miracast compatible device, such as many Android and Windows Phone 8.1 sending the screen on the TV via the function " send screen ", " share screen " or similar.

It is a very useful feature when you want to for example project on TV the photos on your phone, or if you want to move the video of your laptop on your TV at home without having to use connecting cables; Today, already several televisions natively support this feature, but if you don't have on your screen, you can now use it via Xbox One.
