Divorce Kojima: Konami-anonymous developer confirms and provides more details

After the rumor today concerning an alleged rift between Konami and Kojima Productions, come now new information through the American site Gamespot : an employee of Hideo Kojima has explained to reporters of what is happening and what will be the consequences.

According to the informant, a series of disagreements and power struggles "between Konami and Kojima have led the Japanese Publisher to decide to make drastic changes in your organization: the employees of the studio Kojima Productions will now be direct employees to mere employees, bound by a contract until the end of the year for the PCA ended of Metal Gear Solid v: Ground Zeroes ; with immediate effect all developers now have limited access to corporate resources such as e-mail, internet and telephone. Major developers of the studio, including Hideo Kojima, now have a greatly reduced public role than in the past and will appear much less public events related to the game.

The developer says that Kojima has talked to the staff asking everyone to stay together and complete the development of Metal Gear Solid v: Ground Zeroes , not so much for the contractual duties owed by Konami as not to disappoint the fans. It is likely that, once the development, the study will be dismantled and do not know for now that will end all employees.

Having regard to the great technical skills and game design for the entire study, we likely can be acquired by a rival Publisher, such as Capcom, to work on new ambitious projects.

For now it is all still rumor level, but seeing what is happening on the Konami website, this information are extremely plausible. We are waiting for official releases.
