Phil Spencer explains how it will work cross-buy between Xbox and Windows 10

During the GDC 2015 the head of Microsoft's Xbox Division Phil Spencer explained how it will work cross-buy games that will be featured on Xbox One Windows 10 (and Windows Phone), a feature already mentioned during the Win10 event in January.

Spencer explained that Microsoft will allow developers to create a game for different Microsoft platforms to enable cross-buy option so that, when the title will be purchased on Windows 10, it will automatically put in the Xbox games One of the user, and the same will happen on Windows Phone if the title has a mobile version.

However, this is a feature that must be explicitly enabled by developers: cross-buy will not be automatic but will then only for games that permit. The first game to support cross-platform purchases will be Pinball FX, followed by MOBA Gigantic game (in this case it is a F2P, then it is likely that the cross-buy both for in-game purchases, which will be valid on both platforms), also announced for Xbox One at the event. Gigantic will support not only the cross-buy but also cross-play, allowing Xbox gamers to play with PC.

Definitely an excellent initiative that we hope will be supported by a large number of games: it wouldn't be bad at all to buy 4 Mass Effect , Assassin's Creed: Victory and others, and can play both on the Xbox One that PC, don't you think? We hope to be able to give more news soon about it.
