Xbox One: announced the update of February, already available to members of the Preview Program

Microsoft today announced new February update Xbox One , which sees the resumption of the update after a break of two months. The update is available now to download for members of the program Preview (as always, downloadable via the corresponding button in the system settings) and introduce some new features like Game Hubs and transparency of tile in the interface to better see custom backgrounds.

Those who waited for the arrival of the requested screenshot feature must still wait a bit, but not much: Phil Spencer has just tweeted that, despite not being present in the update of February, this feature will come soon.

Below we list all the new features in this update:

  • Game Hubs – In February's update introduces a new area, available for each game, in which we can see what our friends are playing, make a wide variety of rankings, view videos and check out who are the best players and VIPs. To access this area after installing the update, just go on playing a game, press the Menu button and then "Show game hub".
  • Transparent Tile – you can now set the transparency of the tile of the interface (the square blocks that make up the dashboard) by going into Settings > my Xbox > My Background . Note: some tile will not be transparent anyway because of fees or restrictions on use.
  • TV Updates – were introduced some changes in TV viewing experience on the console:
    • Control of TV, set-top boxes and improved sound systems – more devices have been added to the console database, allowing it to control even more models with IR blaster to Kinect.
    • "Trick play" with digital TV tuner – who has digital TV tuner will now see the video frames when rewinding or fast forward on transmissions put into hiatus.
    • TV Streaming on Windows Phone and Android – streaming TV shows on SmartGlass is now also been added for owners of Windows Phone and Android.

We leave you now with a video showing the features described above.
