New information about Final Fantasy XV from Famitsu

Famitsu, the Japanese videludica magazine, reported in the latest issue a large number of new information about Final Fantasy XV , both for the game and the gameplay graphics engine, the Luminous Studio ; I below.


Luminous Studio

  • The current version of the graphics engine is 1.40. The demo "Episode Duscae", which will be made available with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD , it will run with version 1.50 of the Luminous Studio. The final game should however turn on engine version 2.00;
  • There are about five million polygons every frame, and each character is formed up to 100,000 polygons. The only hair present about 20,000 polygons, five times more than the previous generation;
  • The character models are composed of about 600 "bones", 10-12 times more numerous than most that he could see so far;
  • The amount of data available for textures is much greater than before.

Final Fantasy XV

  • The battles against large enemies will take place exactly like all battles, but there will be some exclusive possibilities for cooperation among members of the party for some important enemies;
  • There will be some mini-games, including fisheries;
  • The Restalm was created inspired by the Bahamas;
  • At the moment the Restalm cable car cannot be driven, but developers would allow players to control it if there is time to do it;
  • Developers want players "feel" the surrounding world and that related not only through its visual representation but also through characters who populate it;
  • In town you can spend their time staying in the hotel or going shopping;
  • The NPC in town are handled by artificial intelligence and can speak with them;
  • Restalm will be the only main city for the first half of the game;
  • Meet Cindy mechanics in multiple locations: at the beginning of the game happens something that will shake morally and will wander around the world;
  • Although not a main character, Cindy will be very present because of the great mechanical skills;
  • Players must fight against the beasts then invoke them;
  • In the game, the call beasts are a symbol of the power of the stars and only Noctis will be able to recall;
  • In order to start a combo you must hold down a key, while if you will press some keys in time, you will be able to carry out attacks combined with other allies;
  • To fend off enemy attacks, you have to press a few buttons at the same time as the attack of the enemy;
  • The spell doesn't consume MP, and it won't even Draw-like system that had Final Fantasy VIII ;
  • MPs are consumables only through the use of special actions, such as deformation and dodging;
  • The arms are equipped with a little at a time, with a set as primary. The main weapon has a corresponding skills and you can also replace it during combat;
  • The combo are automatically created based on the weapon equipped;
  • Some rare weapons which can be obtained from the dungeons and other areas of the game, can I apply the hack-and-slash in their use. One of these is the Phantom Sword, floating in midair;

  • After the Tokyo Game Show this year, some of the aspects of the game were revisited following the feedback from the community;

  • In the final version of the game, you can rent the Chocobo.
  • The camps are designed as safe havens, making them ideal starting places for exploring new areas;
  • There will be bonuses tied to cook the ingredients purchased in the cities. You can also obtain ingredients from monsters addressed in open areas.
